My husband works in a factory here in town.
He’s been there working on second shift for the past twelve years or so, but now he says that he’s finally tired of it.
Even though it’s good money and he likes his job okay, he thinks that he wants to do something else now. I can’t say that I blame him, either. He’s actually been looking into going back to school for heating and cooling. He thinks that he wants to become an HVAC technician. This was pretty big news to me, especially since I never even knew that he was interested in the HVAC industry. He has already gone to our local technical school to get information on their heating and cooling program, which starts up again this fall. He says that once he learns all that there is to know about gas and electric furnaces, central air conditioning systems, radiant heated floors, and ventilation systems, he might just be interested in starting up his own HVAC business. I don’t know about that, though. I’ve never really pictured him as a business owner, much less as the owner of a heating and cooling business. I guess it’s really going to take a lot of getting used to for me. I’m so used to him working regular hours at the factory and if he starts an HVAC company, his hours will be all over the place. I guess no matter what he decides to do, I’ll try and support him. At least if he becomes an HVAC technician, we will never have heating and cooling issues in our house again.
