When I was attending school, I felt as though I was being equipped with all of the skills I would need to be a successful adult after graduation.
I played athletic sports when I was in school, and had a hard degree to earn! With having to balance my time and work so often, I found that I had a feeling of life being easier after college. It had to be, right? I found out after buying my first house on a small ranch, I had no idea how hard life can be – especially when you’re on your own! The thing that hit me the hardest post-graduation was the tricky and extravagant costs and regular maintenance of keeping an old farmhouse together. The heated gas furnace in my home was so old and run-down, it needed to be repaired every other week it seemed! The realtor conveniently neglected to mention this to me during the tour. As I was looking for the right Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business to hire, I was totally blown away by the many options for me to pick from when it came to a simple furnace tune-up. Some of them were more extravagant than others, but they also had better reviews. Ultimately, I found myself taking the middle ground, and chose to hire a more affordable Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company. Once the heated gas furnace was totally taken care of and brought up to speed, there was still a laundry list of about twenty or thirty other things that need to be addressed! Still, at least I had this taken care of and I was making a bit of progress.
