Every year in the summer, my family and I take a trip to the Tampa Bay area.
We have lived in Florida most of our lives, but we have yet to see all of the Sunshine State.
We live on the westernmost side of Florida, and the Tampa Bay area is a very long drive. In this part of the state, most people take a flight, bus, or train to visit Tampa Bay. My wife and I decided to take the kids last year, and we stayed for a whole week. We took the car, but the drive was nearly ten hours in total. We planned a lot of wonderful experiences for the kids, including animal encounters, swimming activities, and historical outings. We visited a few Tampa museums and learned all about the history of the area. The kids weren’t particularly enthused by the museum’s, but we wanted to do something educational on our excursion. We also took the kids to the Big Cat Rescue. The Big Cat Rescue is a nonprofit organization based out of Tampa, Florida. They rescue big cats like lions, leopards, and tigers. They care for them and nurture them in a safe setting. I had a lot of fun visiting the Big Cat Rescue, and my son and I took hundreds of pictures. While we were there, we got to meet a new member of the leopard family. The baby, just a few days old, was still nursing on its mother. During our week in Tampa Bay, my family and I had a lot of fun. I think everyone should visit Tampa at least once, especially if they live close.
