When every one of us first moved to the southeast, I was just a little kid, however my siblings plus siblings were all older than I was, my oldest sibling was already in junior university! He was studying to be a wastewater plant operator.
My next oldest sibling did not move with us, as he was in university up north plus was studying economics, but back in those days, it was unheard of for university students to stay on campus during the summer, so he would come down to be with us when school let out. I always looked forward to it because he was my favorite sibling. He would take me places plus buy me ice cream plus such. He always needed a summer time job, though, because every one of us did not have enough currency to support him while he was in school. I remember he got a manual work job working for the road crew, but there was no such thing as heating plus cooling for him, well, of course, it was truly cooling system that he needed, since it was summer. He did not have any way of getting any cooling system, however. The best they could do while working away in the sizzling sun was drink a ton of water. Every county automobile came equipped with this gigantic cooler of water that the men drank all day long. The supervisor got to have cooling system in his truck, plus he would often let the men sit in the cooling system for their breaks, and periodically, if the thermostat was reaching triple digits, the men would go to a nearby store plus soak up the cooling system in there. No 1 got mad about it because cooling system is almost necessary to keep from getting heat stroke.
