Now that my car is getting older, I am beginning to need to do more and more repairs. My car has over 200,000 miles on the odometer and even though it is a good model, it is still getting tired. I am beginning to realize how old it is, but I can’t afford to keep taking it to a mechanic. I try to do the repairs as best I can, but there are some things I know I can’t handle. When my HVAC system began to act up, I was worried. I had never had any problems with my HVAC system, and I had it regularly serviced. I got into the car the other day and since it was a cold morning, I turned on the heater. As soon as the heater was turned on, my windows began to fog. I decided that I should have turned on the defrosters, so I pushed the lever for defrost. Instead of taking the fog off my windows, I actually had more fog building. I couldn’t figure out why this was happening. I went home and I looked it up on my computer. I couldn’t believe what I read. According to the computer, my HVAC system was throwing antifreeze onto my windows. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to afford to have the heater fixed, so I just turned the heating system off. I knew that it was going to be a cold drive without the heater, but I really didn’t have a choice. I’m hoping to be able to get the heater fixed in a couple weeks.
