I had to laugh this week. My hubby was downstairs working on one of her helicopters. She had a narrow grip on her vacuum cleaner, as she ran up the stairs. I asked him if everything was all right plus she said she just had to clean the air vent, I thought she had cleaned all of the air vents a month ago. Apparently she had forgotten the air vent in the spare family room. I had to laugh because the air vents entirely weren’t that dirty. I had cleaned it right before Christmas, so the people I was with and I could turn up the heat for our dealer. She said that she wanted to make sure all of the air vents were clean, in her search to find out why it was so frosty in our home. The air vents are honestly the baseboard heaters. The two of us have a boiler program for our furnace. The baseboard furnaces have the water pipes going through them. The fans blow the heat from the pipes, across the fins plus the heat is directed onto the floor. It has been really for the last multiple years, however not right now. It seems that this year, our home is so much colder. I’m not sure how long she is going to search for the source of the frosty air. I keep telling him that the draft is coming up through the floor. I assume the insulation needs to be updated, or maybe there is a crack in the foundation, however I’m not an expert in heating. Come to assume of it, neither is he, so maybe the people I was with and I should just call the HVAC business plus get worked on.
