Losing fuel for our heater

It’s been an honestly snowy as well as frigid Winter time this season. Winter time has crept up so fast that I have forgotten to winterize some aspects of our place. What I love to do is test our windows to make sure that there are no drafts! There are particular windows that let in more frigid air than others. Therefore I always saran wrap our windows. The reason that I do this is because our windows are a great deal older as well as are not energy efficient. There was this particular afternoon when I got up as well as realized that it seemed more frosty in our apartment than normal. I already knew that our windows do not keep the heat in as much as I prefer, however when I went to our thermostat I realized that the temperature was showing 57 degrees. It was so frosty in our apartment that I could see my breath. I went downstairs as well as took a look at the fuel tank. The fuel tank line was entirely empty. I did not realize that we were out of fuel for our Heating as well as A/C device so soon. I believe the reason for this is because I’ve been so focused on our windows as well as preparing for the holidays that it slipped my mind altogether. Our Heating as well as A/C device runs on fuel as well as fuel prices have been so expensive recently. The two of us were waiting until the end of the week to see if prices would go down. Occasionally we wonder if we should invest in a totally different Heating as well as A/C device that runs on propane or electric. However it would be high-priced to switch now since the Heating as well as A/C device is up-to-date as well as it came with our apartment when we bought it a few years back.
