The most embarrassing thing you want to have a plumbing drainage problem with when you have a whole bunch of party guests over is your garbage disposal in your kitchen sink! Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to myself and others last month when the two of us hosted a party at our house. The whole entire home was full of party guests & I was tied up doing the hostess duties- you know, pouring more drinks & getting more snacks & cleaning up plates & cups when party guests were done with them. Well, as you can imagine, the sink was filling up pretty fast with all of those party guests around. So I decided to go ahead & load the dishwasher & get a load done while most of the party guests was still there. Unfortunately, once I got the dishwasher filled up & pushed start, the garbage disposal side of the sink started slowly filling up with some nasty dirty water. I started to panic & I turned the switch for the disposal off & on like an idiot. It made a sound prefer it was running, however not one drop of the water went down the drain. As I began to think it would overflow, I yelled out, “Is there a plumber in the house?” & as providence would have it, one of our party guests was absolutely a professional plumber with his own plumbing business! He sashayed into the kitchen, immediately diagnosed the problem as a clogged kitchen drainpipe, & went out to his truck to get the drain snake and plumber’s tool belt to repair the issue. I was so overwhelmed with joy to see that water going back down the drain!
