The last thing you want to have a plumbing drainage worry with when you have a whole bunch of folks over is your garbage disposal in your family room sink! Unfortunately, that’s exactly what occurred to myself and others last weekend when my better half and I had a celebration at our house. The whole entire home was full of folks plus I was tied up doing the server thing – you know, refilling drinks, cleaning up plates, putting cups plus silverware in the kitchen sink when people were done with them. Well, as you can probably figure out, the sink was filling up pretty fast with all of those folks around. So I decided to go ahead plus fill up the dishwasher plus run it while all the folks were still there. Unfortunately, once I got it filled up plus pushed start, all of a abrupt the garbage disposal side of the sink began quickly filling up with some yucky looking dirty water. I started to freak out plus I turned the switch for the disposal off plus on three or four times. It made the garbage disposal noise, but none of the water went down the drain for the sink. As it got closer plus closer to overflowing the sink, I called out to the folks, “Is there a plumber in the house?” plus can you believe it, one of our guests was honestly a professional plumber with his own plumbing company! He ran into the family room, right away diagnosed the problem as a clogged drain, plus ran to his truck to get the snake and plumbing wrench to repair the nuisance plumbing problem. I was so grateful to see that water going back down the drain!
