The worst thing you want to have a plumbing drainage complication with when you have a whole bunch of friends over is your garbage disposal in your living room sink! Unfortunately, that’s totally what happened to myself and others last Friday when we had a party at our house. The whole entire apartment was full of friends plus I was busy doing the server thing – you know, refilling drinks plus hors d’oeuvres plus cleaning up plates plus cups plus silverware when friends were done with them. Well, as you can imagine, the sink was filling up pretty fast with all of those friends around. So I decided to go ahead plus load the dishwasher plus run it while almost everyone was still partying. Unfortunately, once I got it filled up plus pushed start, all of a abrupt the garbage disposal side of the sink started rapidly filling up with some yucky looking dirty water. I started to freak out plus I turned the switch for the disposal off plus on a few times. It made a sound like it was doing the right thing, however none of the water went down the drain for the sink. As it got super near to overflowing the sink, I yelled out, “Is there a plumber in the house?” plus as luck would have it, 1 of our friends was honestly a professional plumber with her own plumbing company! She ran into the living room, instantly diagnosed the complication as a clogged drain, plus ran to her van to get the tool to repair the issue. I was so relieved to see that water headed back down the drain!
